New Hampshire Fisher Cats: Hitter of the Year

The Fisher Cats offense struggled this season as a unit hitting just .249. Many viewed their new ballpark as a pitchers park, though Ryan Roberts told InsideTheDome that really was not the case. "The wind varies and the parks works both ways" said Roberts. "The batters eye is great which makes it good for the hitters but I also heard from the pitchers that the mound is great and it helps them out." Roberts was one of several players strongly considered for the award, but did he get it?

Although as a team New Hampshire did not have a great offensive season, some individuals had solid performances. Curtis Thigpen was promoted late in the season and played in 39 games for New Hampshire.
