Has totaled 94 saves in his first four professional seasons. Has struck out 231, walked 70 and allowed 192 hits in 214 total innings ... Went 3-3 with a 2.56 ERA and 11 saves at Class A Burlington in 2001. ... Had a 4-2 record, 27 saves and a 2.35 ERA in 2002 at Class A Columbus, then led all of Minor League Baseball in saves in 2003 with 37, going 2-3 with a 2.41 ERA at Class A Kinston. ... With Class AA Akron in 2004, he went 1-3 with 19 saves and a 3.19 ERA -- earning a brief promotion to AAA Buffalo, where he pitched one scoreless inning.
