Justin Orenduff, who had a sub-par year at Las Vegas in 2008 and who made only one spring training appearance, was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. And and injury has slowed, at the least, the comeback attempt by former Dodgers closer Eric Gagné.
