InsideTheDome has learned that RHP Robert Leffler has been promoted to Auburn, and that RHP Jimmy Dougher will be sent to Lansing and possibly start this weekend. Kyle Ginley will be moved to the disabled list to make room for Dougher.

The 8th round pick of this years draft spent the season pitching in the Gulf Coast League. In 20 games he went 1-0 with eight saves and a 1.25 ERA.

The right-hander issued five walks and fanned twenty-four batters in twenty-one innings this season in Florida.

Leffler held right-handed batters to a .208 batting average against mark, but left-handers batter .321 off him in 28 at bats.

Yesterday Auburn made several roster moves. Patrick McGuigan was transferred to Lansing while Brad Mills was placed on the disabled list.

RHP Jimmy Dougher is also expected to be promoted to Lansing this weekend and possibly start on Saturday.

The 22-year-old Dougher finished up with a solid outing on August 24 going four innings, and allowing just four hits, one unearned run, and struck out five without walking a batter. It was the third consecutive outing that Dougher did not yield a run.

The 6’7, 205 pound right-hander had just one bad outing this year. That came back on July 20 when he allowed five runs in just 3 1/3 innings. Removing that start would give him an unthinkable ERA of 0.68.

Opponents batted just .189 off right-handed starter. He finished up the year with a 0.40 ERA over his last five outings, allowing just one run in 22 2/3 innings, while walking three and striking out twenty-five batters.
