Watson, Kane Agree to deals with Jays

InsideTheDome has learned that the Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to minor league deals with outfielder Matt Watson and pitcher Kane Davis.

The 32-year-old Davis was 3-3 with a 3.06 ERA in 41 appearances out of the bullpen for Triple-A Ottawa. He was a September callup for the Phillies, appearing in 11 games and going 0-1 with a 5.56 ERA.

Watson, 29, did not play during the 2007 season. He batted .317 with five home runs and twenty-eight runs batted in for Sacramento in 32 games.
