Dougher, Letko Deserve Promotional Reward

Blue Jays pitchers occupied the top two spots in the Gulf Coast pitching leaguers. Two rookie pitchers made tremendous strides in their first year of professional baseball and will not hope to continue their season with another club.

Brian Letko finished first in the league in ERA with a 1.50 mark in 48 innings, while teammate James Dougher notched 52 innings and finished with a 1.56 ERA. The 22-year-old Dougher finished up with a solid outing on August 24 going four innings, and allowing just four hits, one unearned run, and struck out five without walking a batter.
