Jays Release Tablado on the Final Day of Camp

Raul Tablado was given his release on Saturday, the final day before the Blue Jays minor league players gathered at spring training camp.

Tablado was released after working out and playing between New Hampshire and Dunedin during spring training. The infielder spent all of last season on the 60-day disabled list and never appeared in a game.

Tablado tested postive to a banned substance under baseball's minor league drug policy during the end of the 2004 season, and was suspended to begin the 2005 season.

Tablado was drafted by the Blue Jays in the fourth round of the 2000 draft.
