Expect Cuthbertson to Break Out in ‘07

Brad Cuthbertson has had a long road to professional baseball. After being selected in the 6th round in the 2005 draft, the right-hander failed to sign with the Giants. He slipped to the 49th round of the 2006 draft for several reasons. Cuthbertson has looked sharp this spring, and with a mid-90s fastball he's expected to rise quickly in the system this year.

Brad Cuthbertson was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2005 draft, 192nd overall by the San Francisco Giants. He was the highest Albertan selected since Chris Reitsma went in the first round, 34th overall in the 1996 draft when the Boston Red Sox selected him.
