Day 1 in Florida was a shorter one than expected as General Managers and agents were calling it a night around midnight. The Blue Jays spoke in preliminary terms to a few players, including representatives for Ted Lilly, Gil Meche, and also to a couple teams regarding Vernon Wells. From the pitching standpoint the Jays were closing in to a deal with Gil Meche. ITD has the inside story from Day 1. | |
