Many players that are selected in the draft at one time or another expect to be drafted. However, in the case of Raul Barron, he never expected to be playing professional baseball two years ago. The Jays selected Barron in the 30th round of the 2006 draft, and the infielder excelled in his first season of professional baseball.

Barron thought his dream of playing professional baseball was shattered two years ago when he had to drop out of high school as a sophomore because his parents were moving to Mexico.
