Litsch Sent to Dunedin for Playoffs

Right-handed starting pitcher Jesse Litsch was transferred from the Fisher Cats to the Class High-A Dunedin Blue Jays today.

Litsch is being sent to Dunedin to log some extra innings and help Dunedin in their playoff run. The 21-year-old Litsch began the season with Dunedin and went 6-6 with a 3.25 ERA in 15 starts before getting promoted to New Hampshire on June 28.

He made 12 starts for the Fisher Cats, going 3-4 with a 5.06 ERA. He was 1-0 with a 0.84 ERA in his last three starts for New Hampshire.

He was originally selected by Toronto in the 24th round of the 2004 draft out of South Florida Community College.

No replacement was made for Litsch on New Hampshire's roster, which now stands at 21 active players, three below the Eastern League limit.
