Charlie Zink (8-3) had a rough start on the mound for Pawtucket (64-69) as the SkyChiefs scored all their runs in the first inning.
The PawSox knuckleballer walked the first two SkyChiefs and Kevin Barker's single loaded the bases. Zink couldn't handle a hot comebacker off the bat of Chad Mottola that scored Wayne Lydon. Zink issued a bases-loaded walk to Adam Lind scoring Luis Figueroa. Curtis Thigpen reached on a fielder's choice scoring Barker and Sergio Santos singled to left to score Mottola.
Zink only allowed three more hits over the next five innings, walking a total of four over his six innings and striking out four
