Promotion Time: Tressler Dominating MWL

Aaron Tressler has all but proved he can handle the Midwest League, and the right-hander continued to show that Saturday night as he tossed another gem again Peoria. Tressler improved his record to 7-4 and lowered his ERA to 2.19 on the season. The 24-year-old has spent the majority of the past two seasons with Lansing, but the time for a promotion should be nearing.

Tressler tossed eight innings Saturday, issuing just three hits and allowed one run to score. He fanned nine batters, while walking one. The lone run of the evening for the right-hander came in the first inning. After allowing a leadoff single, Tressler retired the next two batters, but allowed a two-out single as Lansing trailed 1-0.
