Olson Added to Fisher Cats Roster

Infielder Tim Olson was added to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats roster on Wednesday after being acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays organization in a trade with the Texas Rangers for pitcher Joey McLaughlin.

The 27-year-old Olson had played this year with the Triple-A Oklahoma RedHawks where he hit .128 with one RBI in 13 games. Olson becomes the only player currently on the Fisher Cats roster with Major League experience. He played three games with the Colorado Rockies last season and 48 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2004. He was originally selected by Arizona in the seventh round of the 2000 draft out of the University of Florida.

He takes the place on the roster of outfielder Tony Miller, who was placed on the disabled list on Tuesday.
