He began the season 1-0 with a 1.52 ERA over his first four starts, and issued just four walks, while striking out twenty-six batters during that span.
His command slipped over his next six starts as he issued 17 walks in 32 2/3 innings, while recording 29 strikeouts.
Savickas struggled his last two outing allowing nine runs in just eight innings.
The Jays 9th round draft choice in the 2002 draft had a combined 15-19 record with a 4.51 ERA entering this season. He went 6-7 with a 4.96 ERA in 19 starts for Lansing during the 2005 season.
