Patterson Has Career Night

"I never had a game like this before"

Ryan Patterson shattered the Florida State League record for total bases in Dunedin's 19-12 victory over the Vero Beach Dodgers Monday night at Holman Stadium. Patterson's record 17 total bases came from three home runs, two doubles and single. He drove in nine runs in the victory, just one shy of the league record. Patterson scored five of the six times he reached base. He talked with InsideTheDome following the game to share his thoughts on his career and record breaking night.

Patterson began his career night with a two-run homer in the first inning after Aaron Mathews got a leadoff single. Patterson added an RBI double in the second inning, belted a three-run home run in the fifth inning, knocked a two-run home run in the seventh inning, and doubled in a run in the eighth inning.
