Armstrong Faces Another Obstacle

After an outstanding 2005 season with the Lansing Lugnuts, Jason Armstrong received a well deserved promotion to Dunedin. Armstrong won the starting third baseman job and played in 15 games, however, came to the realization that he could keep going any further and it was time to shut it down. Armstrong was placed on the disabled list last week with a sore shoulder, an injury he was battling since the end of the 2005 season, but finally had an MRI done last week - which revelaed the bad news.
