Jays Assign Two to Minor League Camp
RHP Vince Perkins was the second pitcher to be sent down. Perkins, who appeared in two games this spring, was assigned to Double-A New Hampshire. The right-hander allowed four runs and issued seven walks in 1.1 innings.
Houston is expected to begin the 2006 season in the bullpen with the Syracuse Sky Chiefs. Perkins, on the other hand, is on the bubble for a starting spot at Triple-A. If the numbers game do not work in his favor then the right-hander could return to New Hampshire to begin the season.
