Auburn Doubledays: Pitcher of the Year

The Auburn Doubledays had a successful 2005 campaign as they went to the NY-Penn League Finals for the first time in team history, however, they got swept by the Staten Island Yankees in two games. The Doubledays pitching staff combined for a 3.71 ERA and featured some outstanding pitching.

Kristian Bell and Orlando Trias were tied for the team lead in games started with 15. Both had solid seasons for Auburn. Bell went 5-4 with a 3.14 ERA in 77.1 innings, while Trias went 4-7 with a 3.89 ERA. Bell had a strong finish to the regular season going 4-0 with a 1.60 ERA over his last seven starts.
