All Systems Go For Green At Second

OAKLAND - The Oakland A's have spent the past two seasons moving 2009 first-round pick Grant Green around the diamond in an attempt to find his best path to the big leagues. They believe that his latest home at second base may be his best avenue to the Show. Green will be at A's camp this spring competing to be the team's starting second baseman and he's excited to show what he can do.

Although Grant Green's progression through the Oakland A's minor league system has been a steady one-level-a-year climb, his development has been anything but conventional. The A's 2009 first-round pick was supposed to be Oakland's shortstop of the future when he was selected 13th overall out of USC.
